These two little sisters reminded me of the story called…
ENOUGH FOR TWO
Both their little cupboards were full,
With the same number of,
books, dresses, shoes,
Toys and writing tools.
One sister,
tired and weary,
Her cheery eyes now a wee bit bleary,
wore an old blue striped pajama set,
every day to school,
Her unbrushed open hair,
had on it,
a nest of four little cuckoos.
She walked bare feet,
No slippers, no socks,
no polished shoes.
The other looked sprightly and fresh,
Every day, she was in a neat dress.
Two tiny braids framed her little face,
Speckled with what looked like dewdrops,
and held together with lace.
Her shoes were polished,
shiny and new,
Her clean, pressed socks,
in pairs of every hue.
Until the cuckoos flew away,
Until her sister was ready
to brush her hair everyday,
She would dress up grandly enough,
for both of them,
And her hair would be adorned with,
jewels and gems.
